Suvarna Ganesh Temple

Evidences showing more than five hundred year old settlements are found in this region.

Suvarna Ganesh (Golden Ganesha) is in Diveagar village, Suvarna Ganpati's idol (Golden Ganesha idol) was buried to save it from Arab invasion. Later on it appeared in 1997. This Golden Ganesha is of southern style from Shilahar, having uncomparable carving.

Srivardhan - the land of Peshwas - is famous for its forts and sun kissed golden beach. Savour the delicious seafood here which is available in plenty. Apart from a pretty beach, Shrivardhan is also famous for its Jeevaneshwar Temple. The temple is a tourist attraction for its intricately carved wooden pillars. The Kusumeshwar Temple is a bit more remotely situated, but is also worth a visit.
